AQUABABIES is the worldwide pioneer in Baby Swimming, often imitated but seldom equalled. AQUABABIES is a thoroughly researched, effective program developed through the actual experience of teaching tens of thousands of children to swim over the past 30+ years.

AQUABABIES teaches parents how to teach their child. We are the pioneers in structured and progressive lessons where each class is different.

AQUABABIES lesson plans are age-appropriate and progressive, designed with your child's developmental stages in mind. Swimming is a very repetitive sport and activities must be repeated as a child's motor skills develop and they gain the ability to put movements together. But our lessons are not regimental! Each lesson is themed and builds on previous lessons.

Children have short attention spans and need help to listen and relax, so AQUABABIES matches songs, rhymes and games to swimming skills to keep their interest and help them absorb information while having fun!

Everyone wants their child to be "water-safe," swim independently, and be able to save their own life in the water as early as possible. These are very important aspects of AQUABABIES classes, but rates of progress toward these goals vary among individual children and come with size, strength, gross and fine motor coordination, age, awareness, repetition and practice. All AQUABABIES activities are designed to benefit your child's development holistically as they grow and integrate involuntary reflexes into controlled, increasingly complex and coordinated movements and skills. AQUABABIES lessons are designed to build ability and competence in water safety skills step by step, and with patience and follow-through you will be proud of what your child can do!

AQUABABIES offers an education for a holistic approach to water activities, teaching parents to teach their child. Our baby swimming lessons develop strength, stamina and agility, and emotional intelligence.

Through correct training babies can learn to respect and love the water, happily swimming above and under the surface.

All babies are born with reflexes that enable them to hold their breath underwater, such as the “mammalian diving response”. We DO NOT rely on these reflexes, rather, we prefer to teach children to hold their breath in a relaxed manner. This forms part of the baby swimming class structure early on, in order to help your child gain confidence in the water.

Our parent-baby classes are designed to educate not only the child but the parent too. We understand the importance of teaching parents why children relate to certain exercises due to their reflexes and we help to manage expectations. The main factor is to have fun while learning essential life skills.

We recognise that swimming has so many health benefits for both parent & child, physically, emotionally and socially. In simple terms it helps them to sleep and eat better!

We have lesson plans for all age groups derived from Australian and English techniques. We like to add fun to our lessons, stroke style and structure is important to Aquakiddies. We do not like the old-fashioned regimented techniques so enjoying the lessons in essential.
